It was built around 1735 and is connected to old walls at the back. Some of these bear gravestones of the Ysenburg/Wächtersbach family from the centuries before the castle was built.
The Rentkammer is a long building with a mansard roof and a small tower clock. The mansard roof was equipped with two rows of dormers and has 19 dormers on the front alone.
