Galloways are a dominant, polled, beef cattle breed and are now found throughout the world. They are peaceful, frugal and resilient. Romans have been describing the first small, stocky, black cattle with tasty, fine meat in their stories since the 2nd century AD. Galloway originally come from the south-west of Scotland and are considered the oldest beef cattle breed in the British Isles.
