Parachute tower in Katowice - 35-meter steel parachute tower in Katowice in the Park of Tadeusz Kościuszko.

Until the 1950s, it was used for the initial flight training and training of parachute jumpers.

It is also a legendary point of defense of Katowice, from where - according to a widespread message - in the first days of World War II the scouts of the Polish Scouting Association were to resist the Wehrmacht troops entering the city. The scale of the resistance and the course of events are controversial, and the identity of the defenders of the parachute tower has not been established.

Currently, the building is a monument dedicated to all defenders of Katowice, killed and murdered by the Germans in 1939. It is also the only preserved parachute tower in Poland.
