Here is a church with an adjoining cemetery, where many family graves can be discovered. The St. Nikolai Church in Langhennersdorf, with the Wendelin Chapel built in the 14th century and with its artistic vault, is considered one of the most beautiful village churches in Saxony. A special treasure is the organ, completed in 1722, by Gottfried Silbermann's pupil Zacharias Hildebrandt. Langhennersdorf belonged to the Altzella monastery district and the church has been preserved almost unchanged in the style of the monastery. 1530 is to be assumed as the year of completion. The bells are original: the small undated, the middle one from 1582, the large one from 1777.
