... that was the plan after the ice hockey game was canceled today by the big C and we were free ... said, done. So it was at 10 o'clock sharp in the direction of the Kriebstein dam, past my favorite castle, through ghostly quiet villages ... until a shrill call from Mögö Wösö tore me from my dreams ... he had caught 3 stings (bee?) And the face swelled noticeably ... (allergic reaction) so I wanted an emergency pharmacy, it was only an hour to Geithein ...
Despite everything, we enjoyed the great autumn day and arrived back at the starting point.

Since the planned frost protection delivery didn't work out at short notice and we couldn't shovel after work, we had to reschedule and so we grabbed the bike because the weather was nice. There wasn't much time to get dark, but we got a few meters forward.

... "Our homeland is not just the towns and villages ..."
Because I've had this catchy tune for a while and the song is constantly singing to me, dear Mögö Wösö has put together a nice home round today. Slowed down and relaxed, with great weather to finish off the weekend. What more could a woman want? In Colditz we spotted a tower from afar and because we couldn't climb the tower yesterday, we put our hopes on today ... so quickly asked Aunt Google and cycled right up there. A beautiful home tower, which was built in 1901 on the occasion of the 1st Colditzer Heimatfest in a short construction period of only ten weeks. At the time of its inauguration on July 20, 1901, the home tower was 18.7 m high. The upper part of the tower was badly damaged by a lightning strike on June 3, 1903. Since the reconstruction it is now 20 m high. From the top you have a great view over Colditz and the Muldental. And downstairs we could sit comfortably in the 🌞

We have once again paid a visit to the Ore Mountains and chosen the King Albert Tower as our tour destination. As so often started in the Chemnitz Valley, this time we cycled into the mountains via Neukirchen. A beautiful route over the south of Chemnitz, along the Hutholz and further on the Eisenweg, which is really nice to drive, into the mountainous country, we wanted to get used to the colder days and the driving pleasure of autumn wrapped up in thick gloves and woolen hats. Well, after a short kicking I had stowed the gloves and the hat. Too warm ... 🤣
Shortly before the target point, we had to push a few meters steeply uphill because we really wanted to see the Fuchsbrücke. Unfortunately, it is locked so that you can only get there from afar. Well, you could have turned further before, but the curiosity ...

It was a wonderful Sunday round in the Ore Mountains today. We started again in the Chemnitz valley and then on really great paths through the 6 Ruthen forest in the direction of Flöha, a little along the Flöhatal cycle path to the Lößnitz valley, then on to the Saidenbach dam. Ridden back to another section of the Flöhatalweg and curled up via Augustusburg and Euba through the Zeisigwald to Glösa for iced coffee, because enjoyment is a must😇
In terms of the route, it was perfect today, even new passages were discovered and if you look at the HM it wasn't a flat lap at all.

Today I didn't plan it myself, but chose a saved Komootrunde because on the one hand it promised a lot and on the other hand it led directly to the sister's heart. Well to anticipate it, everything was done right! 😊
It has become 10 lakes tour in New Lakeland. Starting with the Adriatic Sea (Borna reservoir), then on to the Haselbacher See, past the Groitzscher See (which we left behind) to the Großstolpener See. Then it was time to have coffee at the brother-in-law and refreshed to the Zwenkauer See, which is really nice and big. Halfway around this lake to the Cosbudener See, where I treated myself to a little ice cream and cycled to the Markkleeberger See. First there was fish rolls of the most delicious kind. Wat mutt dat mutt. 😁
Now I feel good in my stomach and mind and from now on with a lot of headwind along the Störmthaler See through Espenhain to the Hainer See. It was noticeable that quite a lot was fenced in and declared private. Should there be a tendency? I hope not...

We took advantage of the nice weather and visited friends in Kohren-Sahlis. By bike, of course. Driving on familiar terrain in the central Saxon region and sipping an ice cream in Wechselburg. The pure pleasure of driving like this

Visited the polling stations today, looked at a few animals, cycled through a corn field (strange, otherwise there was always only meadow 😉) ... and arrived at the ice rink almost too late

Immediately after work, cycle in the direction of the Pressnitz valley and the Pressnitz reservoir. The weather was initially drizzle and then cleared up a bit. The path along the Pressnitz is a little spooky without any other cyclists, but also wildly romantic. So we enjoy it now and get to our neighboring country, where we get pancakes and coffee (both delicious and perfect) at a mobile counter in the first village and have a rest. Then we circumnavigate the Pressnitz reservoir, where we drove about 8 km on a larger road. But traffic was very little and therefore not disturbing. Via komoot's mysterious paths we get back to Germany via a beaten path and then follow the Annaberger Landring for a while. For us trekking e-bikers who enjoy cycling, it is really sporty in some places ... 😁
But after we passed Annaberg, Wiesa and Neundorf, the tour still had a treat for us: A forest trail through the forest in the meantime
