The castle was built in 1758 by Guillaume Joseph de Harlez and then completed and decorated by his son Simon-Joseph de Harlez in 1770. The distinctive U-shape is made of whitewashed bricks and blue stones under slate roofs, with a courtyard surrounded by outbuildings .

The lordship chapel is similar to Saint Remacle and was decorated with a baroque altar. The interior of the castle is beautifully decorated, especially with rococo stucco by the artist François-Joseph Dukers and paintings by Jean-Dieudonne Deneux.

To the north, a walled garden from the 18th century was transformed into a French garden at the beginning of the 20th century. At the is a beautiful view of the Ourthe and the landscaped garden at the rear of interesting heritage trees from the second half of the 19th century.
