This small rest area on the cycle path west of Jössen has something special: the view does not go to the Weser, but to the largest and oldest stork nest far and wide, the stork nest on the trunk of an old ash tree at Humke Farm. Storks have been breeding here regularly since 1896, and the current mighty eyrie has existed for a proud 90 years (1933). You need binoculars or a large telephoto lens to watch the storks "at work". But if you are lucky, they are active on the meadow in front of the nest. This place is a must for all stork friends‼️
