The Ihlandsee has an area of approximately 14 hectares. It still belongs to the Lattseerinne, which is of Ice Age origin. Unfortunately, the last dry summers have also left their marks here. The Erlenbruch at the northern end of the lake is completely dry.
The lake is a private fishing water, for which fishing permits can be purchased from “Rinast” in Strausberg, according to the internet.
There are several small bathing spots, but bathing is actually prohibited. Blue-green algae can often be found here in summer, where bathing in the lake is forbidden anyway.
The loop around the lake has now been cleared pretty well and can be walked easily.
