"The Protestant village church Skassa is a baroque hall church in the Skassa district of Grossenhain.

The building, located on a street, shows the image of a typical patron church. It was built in the years 1756-1758. The exterior is plain.

The interior offers a harmonious picture together with the original equipment. The flat ceiling of the gallery hall is structured by delicate stucco profiles. On the east side, the sacristy is separated by a wall on both sides of the altar. The stately prayer room and an anteroom are located in the extension on the north side. The prayer room is separated from the hall by a box prospect with four round-arched windows. Ornamental stucco crowns can be found above it. Not far from the church there is an Adam Friedrich Zürner memorial. On behalf of Augustus the Strong, Zürner measured the postal routes in Electoral Saxony and had the striking postal columns erected, which can still be found today in the markets of most Saxon cities. Zürner worked as a pastor in Skassa for 16 years, which is also mentioned on a plaque in the vicarage.
