The Heinrich Heine hiking trail, one of the most popular hiking trails in the Harz Mountains, begins here in the area of Blocher Platz and ends on top of the Brocken. It goes uphill on the Ilse in a countercurrent direction and is very romantic, but I can no longer hike it, my performance is not enough.
