The euregioAIXpress is a German-Belgian train connection between Aachen and Spa on the Liège–Aachen (line 37) and Verviers–Spa (line 44) railway lines. The name part AIXpress (pronounced like Express) comes from a pun on the name Aachens (French Aix-la-Chapelle) and the word "Express". In Germany, the regional express line is called RE 29 for short, in Belgium the line is called L09.
When the timetable changed in December 2014, the services of the euregioAIXpress were relocated from Pepinster station to the Verviers–Spa line (line 44) to Spa-Géronstère and increased to an hourly service.
