In the years 1930 to 1932 the Rosenborn spring was expanded at this point. In the 1970s it was flooded and used as a pond. Only in 2009 was it restored based on old pictures as part of the redesign of the monastery park.

Hiking

The restored Rosenborn spring from 1931 is located at the eastern entrance to the monastery ponds. The spring, which rises at the edge of the forest, was probably enclosed in a basin during a work measure during the Great Depression. At the end of the 1970s it was filled in to make way for another pond and was only redesigned in 2010 as part of the redesign of the Harsefeld parks.
