Historic monastery complex of Harsefeld, home to the Amtshof, the monastery church of St. Marien und Bartholomäi, the museum, and the idyllic monastery park. The history dates back to the 9th century. The Harsefeld guides offer tours in the monastery garden. The monastery park was completely redesigned in 2006 and now, in conjunction with the Amtshof, museum, and church, offers a beautiful backdrop for concerts, markets, and other events. You can enjoy and take a great walk here. The monastery park was one of the partner projects of igs 2013 in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.

The Harsefeld Monastery or Rosenfeld Monastery was an exempt Benedictine archabbey in the market town of Harsefeld in the district of Stade, Lower Saxony. It existed from 1104 to 1648, until the end of the Thirty Years' War. After the Reformation, the monastery was one of the last bastions of Catholicism on the Lower Elbe.

A visit is both recommendable and interesting.
