Tips
On the west castle of the Hohenfels ruins there are only a few depressions and remains of ramparts - but the view after climbing the somewhat steep mountain cone is much nicer than on the east castle with its wall remains. Since I've hiked to the Ostburg several times and each time missed the Westburg or didn't look at it, I would like to recommend this highlight to hikers interested in history to conquer the mountain saddle and the elevation up to the Westburg.
