Running

It is a little out of the way, but can be easily reached on the Weinbergsweg in the direction of Northeim, lying on the right. Can be combined well with a visit to the Gesundbrunnen.

The inscription "Those who long for peace love you" can also be claimed by pacifists. Rather not a statement addressed to a god. A very general statement, not pointed.

Hiking

The memorial was inaugurated on June 27, 1954 with around 8000 participants as a "memorial for the fallen soldiers of Silesia and Lower Saxony as well as the town of Northeim and the town of Neustadt/OS". On September 1, 1989, it was rededicated as the "Memorial of the City of Northeim for the Victims of War and Violence". Until 2016, the memorial ceremonies on the day of national mourning took place here.
