It is still standing, the old winding tower - but it should be demolished soon. A shame. Metropole Ruhr should put some towers under monument protection.

The Haus Aden colliery, directly on the Datteln-Hamm Canal, was one of the younger mines in the Ruhr area. The double shaft system was built in 1938, and production began in 1943.More info:
