The Theatre Square (Place du Théâtre) is a public square in the Luxembourg Upper Town on the Côte d'Eich and is bordered to the north by the Rue Beaumont. The square on the edge of the extensive inner-city pedestrian zone has a public parking garage underneath.
The former Capuchin monastery to the north of the square, which had been owned by the city since 1868, was used as a city theater from 1894 to 1964. Hence the name "Theater Square".
The Capuchin Theater moved into the former foyer of the monastery in 1985 after a complete renovation. In the middle of the square is the six-person figure group "Saltimbanques" by Bénédicte Weis.
