The Obereversand lighthouse with its 100m long pier was only moved to the Dorum coast in 2003. Before that, it had been exposed to wind and waves for over 100 years – in the middle of the Wadden Sea, about 40 kilometers away from its current location.

Inside the lighthouse you can visit the exhibition "Life and work of the lighthouse keepers in the late 19th century" and get an impression of the everyday life of the lighthouse keepers. Even the interior has been preserved in its original form. Incidentally, you can also have a civil wedding in this beautiful ambience. The tower can be visited on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. It is closed to visitors during the winter months.
