The damage caused by the floods in the summer of 2013 was terrible. At that time, large parts of the Chemnitztal cycle path between the Fischweg bridge and Heinersdorfer Straße had to be repaired. The city of Chemnitz invested 195,000 euros for this renovation, and the work lasted from November 2014 to summer 2015.
