This is the quintessential climb in the province of Varese!

Campo dei Fiori, in fact, is easily reachable from the center of Varese. at the crossroads of Sant'Ambrogio, as soon as you turn left, the ramps start to get complicated! In total, the climb is 8 km long at 8%, but there are sections that exceed 11%, just before the crossroads towards the Sacro Monte di Varese.

It is possible to admire a first panoramic point at 1150 meters above sea level. At the belvedere there is a gate: *( photo n° 8) if it is open.. today it was wide open , it is possible to go up (with the steepest ramps of the entire climb, at 20%) up to the splendid Schiaparelli astronomical observatory, positioned at 1226 meters.
