Next to the Geulhem watermill, which is now used as a café, you are in the area of an underground network of corridors under the hill "Geulhemmerberg". In the past, parts of this network were used as cave dwellings due to marl excavations. Some of the cave dwellings have been restored and can be visited on a group tour. At the entrance to the Geulhemmer Cave there is a marl statue of a “block breaker” - the craftsman who in the past dug up blocks of marl using primitive tools.
