A PUMP BUILDING built in Transitional architecture in 1925 that is part of the lock complex ‘Uffeltersluis’. The building is related to the lock that was completely rebuilt in 2002 and the nearby lock keeper’s house and the adjacent pump building from 1955. The entire complex represents cultural-historical value as a lock complex in the Drentse Hoofdvaart, as an important historical-infrastructural development axis in Drenthe. However, the protection only focuses on the pump building from 1925. The pump building is still in use as such. A number of new commercial buildings have recently been added to the complex.
