Please check local regulations for: Holtingerveld
In the Holtingerveld, an area in the Netherlands, there is a short section of narrow-gauge railway with a track width of 600 mm.
This railway section was once part of the extensive railway network that was built by the Germans during the Second World War for the establishment of Havelte airport. The presence of bomb craters in this area testifies to Allied bombings intended to disrupt the construction of the airfield.
At the visitor center nearby you can still see some of the "tipper carts" that were once used during the airport's construction.
The parking lot at the visitor center is always open, but access to the Holtingerveld itself is only possible during the day.

The piece of narrow track will be expanded considerably and in all probability one can then make a round!
