The San Bartolomé bastion is one of those that make up the walls of Pamplona.
It is located near what is now the Crescent Gardens and its mission was the defensive east of the gate below.
On the other side is the Labrit bastion, so called because the last private king of Navarre, Juan de Labrit or Albret, left it when the Beaumontese and the Castilian troops, coming from Guipúzcoa, attacked Pamplona in July 1512.
