Lock 11 on the Bossuit-Kortrijk canal is a historic landmark in Kortrijk. The old canal is a witness to Kortrijk's industrial past and transport from the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The lock and the accompanying lockkeeper's house have been protected as a monument since 2005. It is the last of the locks on the canal, after which the canal flows into the Leie.

The lock no longer meets today's standards for inland shipping. [1] A widening along this part of the canal will probably not be carried out.[2]

Pedestrians who want to continue on the Leie from the Abdijkaai or Burgemeester Vercruysselaan cross lock 11 via the pedestrian bridge.
