Before the final ascent to The Crack, the route leads with a slight incline over a rock plateau with partially smoothly polished quartzite rock. To avoid going off the route, you should pay particular attention to the trail markers, blue wooden stakes. Stone men are probably well-intentioned, but not always helpful.
