I tend to agree with Christine. The paths in Kohuesholz are mostly bumpy and often muddy in winter. It's torture with a normal touring bike. It's also a mystery to me why the main path is signposted as an official cycle path.
Therefore, only use the paths occasionally with the MTB.

Cycling

You can drive and occasionally I do. For me personally, the kohuesholz is the least attractive part of the forests around Cappenberg. A lot of straight ahead, monotonous planting, always turning 90 degrees and the paths are very bumpy when cycling. One of the extreme! There are rare cases where I actually prefer to ride on the main road (Cappenberger Damm with its own bike path and not too many cars).
