The water tower was built in 1922 in brick construction with a square floor plan. As the landlord explained to me, it was shut down in the 1980s. It had a capacity of 100m3 and was used for the local water supply. Today it is used as a residential tower.

Rectangular conical water tower in brickwork, built in 1922, six high window floors, the approximately 31 m high tower has shaped the silhouette of the town of Cappenberg ever since; the upper floor protrudes on a massive console cornice. The previous building was an octagonal chapel from before 1718, the church is also an archaeological monument.
