Get up early to not miss out on the sunrise and the crisp minutes before...as a photographer, you want to have everything set up on time.

You should be on the top between 5.30-6am latest.

Have warm clothes (down jacket and long johns) with you. Headtorch for the ascent.

Expect up to 500 people up there. Hot beverages supplied - no thermos allowed to provide locals with income

We got up with the group at 4.30am and walked up the arduous stairs. But when we got to the top, the effort was worth it, there they were, the eight-thousanders! Laid out next to each other and each one a real highlight in its own right, especially when the first rays of sun hit the mountain top, mega moment!

Magic place to see the sunrise. Expect a lot of people to see this view and if you are a photographer take with you a lot of patience since sometimes turists can popin in your photos accidentally
