The lake lies in the heart of Grafenau's spa park, nestled within a spacious green area with walking paths, playgrounds, and relaxation areas.
It was artificially created and serves as a reservoir, covering approximately 3 hectares.
With its tranquil waters and surrounding trees, it forms a natural centerpiece of the park.
The Kurparksee is also a popular spot for fishing: brown trout, rainbow trout, and grayling are among the most common catches.
