Hiking
It takes about 2.5 hours to get there and back on this 3.5 km long path. It goes up steep stairs until you are rewarded at a first vantage point with a view of the theater. Then another 15 minutes further and you will reach the vantage point of the Treasury. A tent was set up there by an enterprising person and drinks can/must be purchased. Coke 2 iodine, orange juice 3 iodine.

The 'Al Kubtha Trail' starts at the visitor center, leads through the Siq and past some of the monuments in ancient Petra. North of the 'Royal Tombs' begins the climb over well-worn steps to 'Jabal al-Khubtha', where you have a breathtaking view of 'Al-Khazneh - the Treasury'.
