The Krugstein is considered a natural monument. From the history of Huchenfeld we know that the vital element water was once transported from the Nagold to Huchenfeld in jugs and butten. The path on the Nagoldhang was difficult, which is why the Huchenfelder rested about halfway. Here they used a red sandstone block on which they placed their water vessels. You can still see the imprints of jugs that may have been washed out by overflowing water.

Note on the history of Huchenfeld, when the residents still had to get their water supply from the Nagold. The Krugstein can be found approx. 150m down the forest path.
