The Ten Beeches are at least more than known to us Germans and we like to visit them. According to the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district office, they are considered natural monuments (Paragraph 28 BNatSchG; resolution 6-2 / 77 of January 26, 1977). However, there is talk of eight beeches. Either way, they are a natural phenomenon, which you do not get to see always and everywhere and everyone is invited to count them 😉
A sign has been attached to the beeches for some time now that says:
“We are called 10 beeches and are well known to some hikers. Wherever you are at home, sit down with us and relax. "
