The beach at Sandskredet is the most popular excursion destination in the area. Here you have a nice bathing beach with a bathing bridge. The trees grow so close to the beach that you can literally see the beech "mirroring its top in the blue sky", as it says in "There is a lovely land".

You can drive down to Sandskredet, where there is a large parking space, toilets, tables and benches, a bathing bridge and several barbecue areas. From Sandskredet you can walk or cycle along the Isefjordsstien, which goes to Rørvig.

There has been a gravel pit at the Sandslide. There are now 2 campsites here. The camp sites can be used after prior booking at

You also have the option of bringing your horse and letting it loose in the horse paddock next to the toilet.

Until 1971, farmers in the area were allowed to collect sand and seaweed at the Sandslide. They used the sand as bedding in the stables and the seaweed for the thatched roofs or winter cover for the beet balls.

South of the Sandslide lies Kongsøre Næbbe, which is privately owned. The house at the far end of Næbbet is an old ferry inn that was closed approx. 100 years ago. Until then there was a ferry from here to Kisserup on Tuse Næs.
