Lutjegast is the birthplace of Abel Tasman. Here you can follow the Abel Tasman, an adventure trail of a few kilometers that goes through the wild nature around this village. There are boardwalks, a rope bridge and even a pond. In the village you will also find the Abel Tasman museum. Well worth it if you want to learn all about this explorer.
