The Ponte Romana de Lagos is a historic bridge in the city of Lagos, in the Algarve, Portugal. Despite its name, "Romanesque," the bridge is often not considered truly Romanesque, as it may not date back to the Roman period. It is likely a Roman-style bridge built in later periods, possibly in the 16th or 17th century.Located at Praia dos Estudantes, near the coast, the bridge is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. The bridge itself has a single high stone arch spanning the ocean and leading to a small island that now offers beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding rock formations.
