In 1931 a chapel was built in the village, between 1949 and 1954 it was expanded. The altar, cross and ambo were designed by the Erkelenz artist Haak, there are 13 colored windows. The chapel has 90 seats.

Holy Family Oerath
The Chapel Association e. V. 1927 Erkelenz-Oerath erected a chapel in 1931 on a piece of land donated for this purpose based on a design by archdiocesan curator Dr. Holtmeyer. It was benedicted in July 1932, extended in 1956 and restored and refurbished in 1975.
Rectangular hall with a transept and a rectangular bulge on the right side. Flat ceiling inside. Octagonal turret above the pointed gable of the open vestibule supported by four columns.
