It is the Preßnitz Valley Museum with exhibits on history (mining, metallurgy) and Erzgebirge folk art. There is also an exhibition on VEB DKK. Here in Niederschmiedeberg, millions of household refrigerators were produced from the 1950s until the privatization of death in the 1990s. The exhibition shows the complete range of refrigerators and compressors. At the moment (summer 2021) there is also a special show about the successful, at times world best (!), Niederschmiedeberg art cyclists.
