On my way from Rotorua to the Wairere Falls, this was a great alternative to State Highway 5. A short single track, maybe 500 meters, but easy to ride, otherwise gravel track or asphalt. A lonely route, a dream.

Downhill if you go from Mamaku to Tirau, but not too steep hills so perfectly rideable both ways. Mainly gravel, 1km single track
