The dreamer is the most inland dike of the list
watcher, sleeper, dreamer. The watchman immediately turns the sea or river water
ter, the sleeper is a parallel reserve dike behind the
waker and sometimes further inland there is a parallel with the
sleeper running dream dike as extra protection for as well
the sleeper dike gives way. It usually occurs with the sleepers
dream dikes around former direct outdoor water retaining dikes
that have been located more inland due to construction
of a new dike along the water.
