A first look at St. Bartholomew's Church immediately shows a building with a lot of history and local building materials. The yellow color and stones of older pieces reveal the origin, as does the church wall of Limburg marl. The oldest part of the church dates back to the 13th century (only visible inside) and the lower part of the tower is the oldest you can see from the outside, dating from the 14th century. The church, built in marl, also has much more recent pieces, but is nevertheless a national monument. Be sure to note the details on the devotional chapel and tower.
