The open-air museum gives an insight into the everyday life of the rural population of the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD in the area north of the central Danube. The focus is on the architecture of the buildings, the handicrafts and the economic and ecological foundations of the people of the past. The reconstruction of the Germanic farm is based on archaeological finds from the Roman Empire in the northern central Danube region. When constructing the objects, building materials and types of tools were mainly used, for which there is archaeological evidence at early historical sites.
