The "Kalthof" in the Rheda Forest (Ems Rheda-Wiedenbrück farming community) is a (former?) farmstead belonging to the Prince of Bentheim-Tecklenburg.
The "Kalthof" is located in a nature reserve and water catchment area belonging to the city of Gütersloh, directly on the Ems Cycle Path, and is easily accessible by bike. A hike in this forest area is also recommended.
Formerly known as "Grandma Bücker," it was a cult meeting place for many cyclists on May 1st and Father's Day. Whether this is still the case is beyond my knowledge.
