The extensive March cup flower carpets in the nearby Petzschwitzer Grove are better known and also much more extensive. But a small occurrence of the amaryllis plant also inspires here and heralds spring in March. Schleinitzer Großholz and Petzschwitzer Grove can also be combined into a hiking tour. Administratively, both together form the Großholz nature reserve.
