It's worth getting off your bike to visit these picturesque waterfalls. The Markie Burn is surrounded by deciduous woodland straight from the pages of a fairytale. As you wonder through the Rosemarkie glen, look out for fulmars and jackdaws who like to nest here, especially in spring.
The burn is made up of deep pools, rapids and waterfalls. There's a path running along beside it, but it's not suitable for bikes.September 25, 2021
Here it is worthwhile to take a short ride off the bike and make a detour to the waterfall. The idyllic place surrounded by nature is also great for a break. Sitting here and listening to the sound of the water is just magical.
