grosskarlbach.de/index.php/2013-04-03-13-26-22/sights: The building on the western outskirts of the town on the Mühlenwanderweg was first mentioned in 1797 as belonging to the Electoral Palatinate. At that time it was an overshot mill with three grinding courses and one peeling course. Friedrich Groos was named as the owner in 1817. In 1852 it became the property of the Eisenberg paper miller Johann Friedrich. He used it as a paper mill. It fell victim to a fire in 1859 and was rebuilt in 1861. Paper was made here until 1930.
