Kleiner See Natural Swimming Area

The bathing area is located on the western shore of the Small Lake, a bulge of Wakenitz, surrounded by reed and water lily fields, off the excursion routes. The sanitary facilities, changing rooms, and the swimming master room of the Eichholz / Kleiner See nature spa are located on pontoons, which are taken to the bathing area every year at the beginning of the season and towed back to winter quarters at the end of the season. In 2007, the bathing area was land-side connection to the supply and disposal network of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The natural bath has a sunbathing area partially surrounded by forest, which merges into a sandy beach. The fine sandy beach forms a shallow water zone, ideal for the little ones to splash around.
