Top cycling routes to Wooden Bridge Over the Schwartau

Tips

  • This route from Dänischburg to Lübeck is an insider route. You can start behind the Luv Center, where you start cycling after a little refreshment. The small bridge leads over the Schwartau, which branches off from the Trave here. The place "Alt Lübeck" near the bridge is particularly historically valuable. The city was founded a little later but slightly offset here at this point because the subsoil is too wet here. If you continue on this path, you can turn right at the next turn to Bad Schwartau, or you can continue straight ahead until you arrive in the Hanseatic city. A wonderful nature trail to the city center. This route is also ideal for driving from Lübeck to Travemünde. In Siems you can then drive through the forest in the direction of Brook to Travemünde. An ideal connection if you don't want to drive next to the road but want to experience a little nature

  • A very nice cycle path that is also well signposted. Fun to drive.

  • In 2011, the Trave-Land District Office developed five cycling routes – country outings – for the district for the Segeberg Regional Exhibition (Regio-Schau). Under the motto "Experience the Trave-land District Office," these suggested routes are intended to invite visitors to the region, as well as residents of our district, to "experience" the idyllic landscape of the district. The overwhelming and positive response has encouraged us to continue this initiative. Many cyclists have provided us with valuable suggestions for improving the routes. Thanks to these tips, the public relations team was able to revise the cycling tours according to the wishes of cycling enthusiasts.
