The hydroelectric power station on the large Neisse bridge already existed at the beginning of the 20th century. The power of water is still used on the Polish side today. The Neisse weir separates the Neisse into upper and lower Eisse.

A nice view in north direction to the Schützen (theater) island. The bridges to the island can be seen from the German and Polish sides. The portal of the former theater can also be seen. But this is a replica from the present time. The pillars on it are from ancient times.
