A beautiful spot to watch the sunrise over the Malsch glider airfield—or, when gliders are in operation, to watch the takeoffs and landings of the planes. The stone sculpture was erected in the land consolidation area in 2008 to mark the completion of the Malsch (Aue) land consolidation project and was ceremoniously inaugurated. Hüneke crafted the reclining man, who, from his vantage point, is contentedly contemplating his work—namely, the successful land consolidation—from gray-blue marble.
